This tip may seem self-serving, but we are using sex toys as an easy example of adding anything new. Adding something new to an established sexual routine can be hard, so we suggest using the sandwich method (the Sandwich Method is discussed at length by Midori in The Better Sex Video Series).
The sandwich method is to sandwich a new idea, toy or position in between a familiar beginning and a familiar end. Think of the familiar beginning and end as the two pieces of bread sandwiching in the new sex idea, sex position or sex toy. This method places the unfamiliar in the context of the familiar. It makes THE NEW seem less scary and can lead to hours of enjoyment. If you like the new thing sandwiched between your familiar sexual beginning and end then keep it and expand on it next time. If you don't like it, toss it aside and keep on looking for your next ingredient.
